Chaillot Théâtre national de la Danse, Paris, France.
With this performative exhibition, (LA)HORDE explores the plural futures of dance in its passionate relationship with cinema.
At the head of the CCN Ballet national de Marseille since 2019, the collective (LA)HORDE develops multidisciplinary creations by articulating all its research around dance - with a particular attention given to choreographic forms of popular, individual or collective uprising. Together they create shows as well as films, performances and installations.
Inspired here in particular by the physical potential of musicals and action films, the company happily takes over Chaillot to create a variety of proposals (living sculptures, performative choreographic installations, etc.), under the title WE SHOULD HAVE NEVER WALKED ON THE MOON, a quotation borrowed from Gene Kelly.
Conception, direction: (LA)HORDE - Marine Brutti, Jonathan Debrouwer, Arthur Harel
Choreographies by Cecilia Bengolea and François Chaignaud, Lucinda Childs, Oona Doherty, (LA)HORDE.
