Santiago Mostyn makes films, installations and performances that test the divide between disparate cultural spheres, employing an intuitive process to engage with a knowledge and history grounded equally in the body and the rational mind. His work may be viewed as an ongoing visual research framework where materials range from academic archives to the artist’s own photographs in order to reconsider how broad histories and personal memory might intersect.
In Dream One, Mostyn's work takes once again deep political and ethical dimensions, to touch upon subjects such as rootlessness, home and that which remains hidden, perhaps even secret.
